Production Engineer 3

Goodman is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Production Engineer 2 position. Responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, fabrication and assembly, cost reduction initiatives, processing of engineering changes, and introduction of new products. Also provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, technicians and operations support staff. Capable of high level strategy and development of project plans, execution of capital projects and significant activities requiring a multi-functional team. Responsibilities Establishes continuous improvement goals and executes action plans Utilizes proven lean manufacturing abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, work flow improvements, estimating, project analysis, technology development and core manufacturing skill set. Able to supervise others and providing mentoring to junior engineers, technicians and support staff Supports DOE, 8D, FMEA, 6 Sigma and DFP analysis and implementation of Kaizen activities Works with Design Engineers to revise, and sustain HVAC product designs, utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles; provide manufacturing technical resource to Design Project teams Develop and manage project schedules related to existing product launches or design modifications. Document product designs by preparing bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests. Assist in redesigning internal components to improve overall long term system quality, improve efficiency and reduce cost. Develop engineering solutions to product related issues through problem solving and root cause analysis techniques. Participate on cross functional teams to launch product modifications, resolve issues, and support product improvements. Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget. Develop suppliers for manufacturing equipment, develop key suppliers, create an environment of continuous improvement in equipment UPTIME, EFFICIENCY & QUALITY Create preventive maintenance that effectively maintains the equipment in optimal form without the need for short cutting the quality or machine capability Perform other job duties as required by supervisor/manager. Qualifications o 10-12 years manufacturing experience o Lean manufacturing concepts (e.g., Kaizan, value stream mapping, Kanban, demand flow technology o Experience in fabrication, stamping, tooling, molding, finishing, assembly and/or controls o Deep skilled in at least two or more of the following areas (Molding, Finishing, Tooling, Fabrication / Stamping of aluminum and steel, Assembly processes and or Product Engineering support in a manufacturing environment) o Proven experience managing people with success on developing leaders and providing coaching o Expert on core manufacturing documentation - PFMEAs, PCPs, PFDs, DFA/DFM, and all aspects of manufacturing in a high volume environment o Strong communication skills to deliver the message to any level of the organization - with clarity and preciseness required at each level o Six Sigma certification preferred o Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer, Technology and/or Engineering   2018-10495

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
