The Opportunity:
Daikin has an exciting opportunity for a talented and skilled individual eager to fill a Product Manager role responsible for Split System HVAC products in Waller, TX (suburb of Houston). As a Product Manager, you will develop, implement and manage international product marketing activities to provide optimum sales and profits of the product line. You will determine short and long-term strategies and tactics that ensure steady growth of the category. Other key responsibilities include evaluating effectiveness of marketing programs and concepts, establishing and articulating product features, benefits, pricing and positioning. You will respond to sales requests from international Daikin entities and manage highly visible development projects with other Daikin manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize business opportunities through Voice of Customer and market share analysis.
Manage product life cycles by establishing a short and long range vision for products.
Develop product specifications to meet voice of customer needs for markets.
Effectively communicate product development priorities and product/project progress.
Evaluate and escalate risks in projects/products to supervisor and senior management when appropriate.
Monitor competitive activities/products and provide continuous gap analysis in products/services.
Know and understand regulatory requirements for products.
Contribute to the development of product forecasts.
Evaluate and recommend product inventory levels.
Establish price to market through margin analysis and competitive positions.
Provide sales support for product benefits and features internally and externally (Product/Dealer Meetings)
Qualifications
Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
Ability to speak in public.
Ability to develop effective communication pieces such as (presentations, written memos, etc.).
Ability to apply business and financial methods.
Ability to negotiate.
Understands HVAC technology.
Understands manufacturing principles.
Understands quality problem solving techniques (root cause analysis).
Participates in Voice of Customer session.
3-5 years experience required; 5+ preferred
Experience with an HVAC manufacturer or key component supplier required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics or the applied sciences
MBA a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
