The Opportunity
Daikin is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Daikin Instructional Desinger to create Instructor Lead Training material. Develops, implements, and manages training materials for a category of products. Works with Product management, Technical Services, Engineering, and Sales to define training needs and to provide input on specific training modules. Determines and executes short and long-term training program development strategies and tactics for technical (installation, commissioning, service, troubleshooting and maintenance) and product training (features, application and design). Evaluates effectiveness of training programs and concepts. Ensures that product lines are effectively communicated to each key demographic (dealers, installers, technicians, sales staff and approved trainers). Expectation that successful candidates will have previous experience in the HVACR trade either in a technician, instructor, service manager, instructional designer or sales role. May include:
Manage training material development to support product life cycles by establishing a short and long range vision including publishing a 6 month calendar of all training activities underway.
Effectively communicate training material development priorities and product/project progress.
Evaluate and escalate risks in projects/products to supervisor and senior management when appropriate.
Apply personal subject matter expertise in category of product to training efforts to limit needed input from Product Marketing and Technical Services.
Submit training material to industry educational organizations for certification (e.g. ACCA, NATE).
Know, understand and apply adult learning principles in the development of training programs.
Work with product managers and technical service experts to develop full training tool kits, including instructor guides, participant guides, job aids/tools, classroom presentations, training assessments, online courses and/or videos, as applicable.
Partner with graphic designer as applicable.
Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify what students need to learn
Develop objectives and ensure content matches those objectives
Revise and rewrite content to shape it for learning needs
Structure content and activities for student learning
Create media to support learning (e.g., visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online)
Develop assessments
Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format
Know, understand and apply instructional design processes (ADDIE) models in the development of training programs.
5 ? 10 years' experience
Associates Degree or Diploma in HVACR.
Bachelor's degree in Vocational, Technical or Industrial Education desirable
M.Ed a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
