The Opportunity:
Daikin is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Event Planner located at our Waller TX location. Working within the scope of a corporate setting, the Daikin Event Planner will manage a team of event planners along with planning and executing activities such as sales meetings, product introductions and promotions, executive retreats, annual meetings, incentive trips and participation in industry-related trade shows and exhibits. For each activity, goals, objectives and a corresponding budget are set. A high degree of creativity, discretion and latitude is required. Travel is also required. Expectation that successful candidates will have previous experience in the HVAC trade show and event planning role. Responsibilities
Define and support the implementation of current and future sales programs and their processes, such as Daikin 3D Program, Daikin Link/tradeshow rental, New Customer Acquisition, and Support Fund.
Ensure all sales program activities are closely aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
Manage projects and relationships with sales support, sales teams, vendors, distributors and manufacturing reps.
Manage the production of collateral material and forms accompanying all sales programs
Serve as expert resource for sales programs and customer questions throughout the year related to event planning.
Communicate all program exceptions, changes and additions to the sales team, customers and participating agencies, during execution of sales programs.
Oversee day-to-day activities between Daikin and participating agencies employed to administer sales programs.
Utilize results of dealer development activities to implement improvements and corrective actions.
Propose new ideas to improve the sales programs and implementation process.
Responsible for the tactical backend components, budget control and the post-analysis of sales programs, specifically Daikin 3D Program, Daikin Link/tradeshow rental, and New Customer Acquisition support efforts within Product Marketing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of People Management
5 - 7 years Event and Planning experience
Able to manage all details of all events
Ability to multi-task
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Flexible schedule ? some travel
Perform under tight deadlines
Keep calm under high pressure situations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
