The Corporate Accountant computes and prepares data for journal entries, reviews general ledgers and related financial statements with our acquired companies' accounting & finance teams.

About DTTP Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.
23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States.
Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.
Responsibilities May include:
Serve as a daily financial resource for acquired companies and answers all accounting-related questions.
Work closely with acquired companies' accounting/finance teams for monthly reporting and closing that includes, but not limited to, manual journal entries, and account reconciliations using Blackline software.
Finalize and record purchase price accounting entries as well as Opening Balance Sheet entries.
Liaison with Corporate departments such as IT, HR, Logistics, Tax and Sales Business Units as appropriate.
Develop, implement and/or maintain inter-company processes.
Assist and review acquired companies' internal control environment along with actual controls in place.
Support the post-acquisition integration activities and work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the acquired companies to the DCTNA policies and procedures.
Interact with external consultants (subject matter experts) as well as acquired companies' management teams to resolve questions, concerns.
Lead and assist special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge & Skills:
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and best practices.
Ability to extract, prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
Ability to identify discrepancies and strong problem solving skills.
Advanced Knowledge of Excel.
Working knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including prioritization skills.
Ability to establish positive work relationships and effective collaboration skills.
Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics & integrity on the job.
Experience:
3 plus years of progressive experience in related field, preferably high-volume environment Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Preferred Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
