23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States.
Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.
We are looking for an experienced CAD Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of CAD systems and processes.
The CAD Manager will be responsible for managing a team of CAD Designers, Engineers and ECN Coordinators, as well as ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Solid Edge CAD software, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Prior experience in a high volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Manage CAD team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables for new and existing HVAC product design.
Develop and maintain CAD standards, procedures, and processes.
Work in conjunction with the Project Managers to prepare the product design plan.
Checking completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
Provide technical support to CAD users.
Train and mentor new CAD users.
You are meant for this job if:
Bachelor's degree in Design/Mechanical Engineering At least 5 years experience with product design in a manufacturing environment (Automotive, Applicance or HVAC).
At least 3 years of Management experience.
Knowledge of refrigeration and/or air conditioning design and application.
Expert knowledge of at least one of the following:
Creo, Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
